On October 11, 1995, in Little Rock, Arkansas, a precious gift was born to Bryan and Dominique Bankhead. This gift was their “Little Doll”, Alexxis. She was to everyone who saw her a strikingly beautiful baby --- almost too pretty to be real.
Alexxis, known as Lexx to those who were close to her, was inquisitive, highly intelligent, articulate and “wise beyond her years”. She enjoyed teaching and explaining the world to her little sister, Raven. In other words, she was “bossy”! She invited Christ into her life at a young age and was baptized at the family church --- St. Mark Baptist Church in Little Rock, Arkansas. She made sure that her younger sister was in line right behind her.
Alexxis was an academically excellent student who won many awards and accolades for her accomplishments. She was a graduate from Little Central High School C/O 2014 and attended the University of Arkansas - Pulaski Technical College.
Lexx was well known for her “dry wit”, fun loving attitude, kind, generous, and thoughtful nature. She had a love for all kinds of music and fell in love with singing at a very young age. She was a voracious reader and an avid lover of animals, especially her own “fur babies'', Blaze and Tiger. Lexx loved spending time with her family and enjoyed helping others. She was someone you could always count on for a good laugh and was always the first to try and make others feel better.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Larry and Betty Nickerson and James Bankhead. She leaves to cherish her memory with her parents, Bryan J. & Dominique Bankhead. Grandmother Barbara Bankhead; Grandfather Charles Hendricks.
Siblings; LaToya Bankhead (niece, Andrea), Bryan D. Bankhead, Raven Bankhead
Cousins; Jitemia Bankhead, Chris Bankhead, Devonte Bankhead {Lene}
“Special Sisters”: Ayanna Worsham (nephew, Houston) & Adre’anne Walker (niece, Khloe), and a host of many cousins and friends.
We will continue to be blessed by the glorious legacy she left with us!
