Ben Allen “Bubba” McClain, 75, of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2025, surrounded by family and loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sandy “Sam” McClain Sr. and Carrie Lee Curry McClain; his sister, Carrie Lee McClain; and his brothers, Sandy McClain Jr. and John Edward Curl McClain.
A native of Panama City, Florida, Ben was a proud U.S. Army veteran who served during the Vietnam War. After returning home, he worked in various roles, most notably as a State Employee on the State Capitol Grounds. He was widely known for his integrity, kindness, and sense of humor.
Ben was married to Jacquline Hillard McClain for 34 years and was a devoted father to Chanda Hillard and Keith Fountain. He was also a cherished grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle.
He enjoyed storytelling, sports, and spending time with family. He is survived by his sisters, Gloria Dena McClain Madrid (Tony) and Belinda McClain Wilson.
A celebration of life with full military honors will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, 1501 W Maryland Ave, North Little Rock, AR 72120.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arkansas Veterans Organization or a charity of your choice in his memory.
