Brenda Janette (Wamble) Hornaday

Brenda Janette (Wamble) Hornaday, 80, transitioned to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 1, 2024. Born on May 7, 1944, in Little Rock, Arkansas, she was the beloved eldest sister of her eighteen siblings.
Brenda was preceded in death by her father, Reverend Amos Wamble, Sr.; his wife, Earlene Wamble; her mother, Jessie Clayborn Moore; her husband, Wadie Moore Sr.; her eldest brother, Edwin Don Wamble and his wife Faustine; her brother Philip Wamble; and her brother Bruce Moore.
Brenda had many roles—mother, grandmother, sister, trailblazer, entrepreneur, community advocate, counselor, friend, and dreamer. At her core, she loved God and followed Him daily.  Brenda’s spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be dearly missed.
Brenda is survived by her beloved daughter, Courtney Alexis (Rutherford) Santana; her partner, Gary Santana; her granddaughter, Kendall Josie Weatherly, and her husband, Matthew; her grandson, Brendan Rutherford Ramirez, and his newborn daughter, Brenda’s great granddaughter, Estelle Rutherford Ramirez. In addition to her immediate family, Brenda leaves behind a vibrant legacy, including her 18 brothers and sisters, as well as 55 nieces and nephews, 78 grand nieces and nephews, 10 great grand nieces and nephews and life-long friendships that span decades.
