Carolyn Louise Butler-Rufus was born on January 30, 1948, in Ethel, Arkansas, to
William and Evangelyn Butler. She departed this life on December 12, 2024, leaving
behind a legacy of love and service.
Carolyn enjoyed a distinguished career at Blue Cross Blue Shield, where she dedicated
43 years of faithful service, earning the esteem and admiration of her colleagues. Her
commitment to her work reflected her strong work ethic and determination.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Carolyn was a devoted servant of God. For
over 40 years, she faithfully served at Longley Baptist Church, where she made a
profound impact on her community through her unwavering faith and compassionate
spirit. Her contributions to the church and the lives she touched through her ministry are
a testament to her character and devotion.
Carolyn will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and the love she shared with
family and friends. Her unwavering faith and commitment to serving others have left an
indelible mark on all who knew her. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
