Cheryl Lynette Piggee

On March 9, 1980, an angel named Cheryl Lynette Piggee entered the world, born
to Fannie and Lee Garrett Piggee in Little Rock, Arkansas. As one of two children,
Cheryl brought joy, laughter, and a radiant light to everyone blessed to know her.
At a young age, Cheryl accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She became a
member of Gospel Temple Baptist Church in Wrightsville, Arkansas, under the
leadership of Rev. Alex Ingram, where her faith deepened and guided her throughout
her life.
Cheryl earned an associate’s degree in Education from the University of Arkansas at
Little Rock, followed by a bachelor’s degree in Education from Philander Smith
College. Her dedication to helping others led her to a meaningful career at the
Arkansas State Hospital, where she served in Patient Care Services for more than
eight years with compassion, commitment, and grace.
She is preceded in death by her father, Lee Garrett Piggee; grandparents Jessie &
Estella Kirby and Ms. Eugene Piggee; and two aunties, Teresa Kirby-Parks and
Patsy Wilson.
Cheryl leaves to cherish her memory, her loving mother, Fannie Piggee, and her
devoted sister, Shannon Piggee, both of Little Rock, Arkansas. She is also survived
by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and a special cousin Felicia and two special friends,
Shamonda and Monica, whose unwavering love and support enriched her life.
Cheryl’s journey was marked by faith, kindness, and quiet strength. Her legacy lives on
in the hearts of those she touched, and her spirit will remain a lasting source of
comfort and inspiration.
