Christian Charles Furlough Sr.

Christian Charles Furlough, Sr. was born on June 10, 1987, in Little Rock, AR, to Amanda
McCoy and Melvin Charles Furlough. After a courageous battle with bronchial asthma, Christian
was called to his heavenly home on December 13, 2024, at the age of 37, at Kirby Medical
Center in Monticello, IL.
He was a proud member of the 2005 graduating class of Word of Outreach Christian Academy.
On May 13, 2017, Christian married the love of his life, Racquel Furlough, and together they
raised three wonderful children: Sir'Charles, Royal Duke, and Alyjaiyh. Christian was also the
proud father of two amazing children, Maliyah and Christian Jr.
Christian worked as a transportation specialist for eight years, where he was known for his
professionalism, dedication, and exceptional work ethic. His career was a reflection of his
determination to provide for his family and contribute to the lives of those he served.
He had a passion for life that shone through in his hobbies. He loved cooking, capturing life's
moments through photography, and spending quality time with his family. His warm smile,
creativity, and love for those around him will always be remembered.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Kenyana Tolbert. He is survived by his devoted wife,
Racquel; his parents, Amanda McCoy (Lemone) and Melvin Charles Furlough (Adrianne); his
children, Maliyah, Christian Jr., Sir'Charles, Royal Duke, and Alyjaiyh; his brothers, Tony,
Ronnie, and Joshua (Hadiyah); and a host of other family and friends.
 Christian's strength and love will live on in all who knew him. His memory will remind us to
cherish every moment and to love deeply.
