Djuana Faye “Poochie” Embry was born on March 9, 1960 to the late James Embry and the late
Margaret Bryant Harper in Little Rock, Arkansas. Djuana was the first child of the two born to this
union.
Djuana received Christ at an early age in St. Peter’s Rock Baptist Church under the leadership of the
late Rev. Felix Evans. Her grandmother Adella Bryant and her uncle Herman Bryant always made sure
that Djuana and her sibling attended church.
Djuana attended Little Rock Public Schools. In 1990 she worked at Rose Care Nursing Home in North
Little Rock, AR. Djuana was an avid fisher and loved going fishing alongside her mother Margaret.
Djuana’s memories will live on in the hearts of those who have been touched by her kind spirit.
She received entrance into eternity on Monday June 29, 2026. She is now united with her parents,
James Embry and Margaret Bryant Harper; her grandparents, Herman and Adella Bryant, her sister
Sylvia Yvonne “Jean” Leonard, her uncles, Floyd and Herman Bryant Jr, her aunt Vera Bryant Johnson.
She leaves to cherish and embrace her memories: three sons, Marcus (Ashley) Jones, Antonio
(Tanisha) Embry, and Frank Enoch III, three daughters, Capriesha, Maiesha, and Taniesha Johnson; one
brother Earnest (Ashley) Harper Jr., one aunt Jewel Bryant, and a special niece Kishia Fudge.
Fifteen grandchildren; Ashton Jones, Frank Enoch IV, Kyron Enoch, Kalyce Enoch, Kameron Enoch,
Frabrasia Enoch, Brasia Enoch-Arnold, Brooklyn Arnold, D’Narius Strickland, Khiyan Botley, A’Vayiah,
A’Monii, and A’Zarei Embry; two great grandchildren Da’Moni Hatton and Keyar Wallis; and a host of
family and friends.
Djuana’s legacy of love and compassion for others will forever live in the spirit of all that were
touched by her life.
