Imogene Alexander Morris 76 of Benton, Arkansas departed this life on
December 18, 2023, at Saint Vincent Medical Hospital in Little Rock,
Arkansas. She was 1 of 15 children. She was born to Lacy B. Branch
Sr. and Theresa Alexander in Elaine, Arkansas on September 12, 1947.
Imogene was married to the late Davie Lee Morris at 17 years old and
shortly afterward departed to Little Rock, Arkansas. Davie and Imogene
union lasted over 55+ years.
Imogene served faithfully at the Greater Rose of Sharon Missionary
Baptist Church as a member and executive chef. She was instrumental
in providing overall direction and organization for all catered events
involving GROS. She was a loyal and appreciative to the leadership of
Senior Pastor Sedrick Cross and Pastor Emeritus Arthur Blood. She has
been faithful to the living word her entire life.
Imogene was preceded in death by her aforementioned parents,
husband and son, Joe Morris, and daughter Brenda Morris. Also
brothers Frankie Alexander, Mance Alexander, Willie J. Jackson, along with her sister Ethel Greene. She leaves memories to daughter Angela Morris, Verna Morris and Stepson Tobi Alexander, her sisters Elizabeth Alexander, Verlene Alexander, Betty Alexander, Ruth Alexander, Mary Alexander, Elnora Alexander and Shirley Alexander; her brothers; Roosevelt Alexander, David Alexander, Curby Alexander and Lacy B. Branch Jr.. Imogene leaves 12 grandchildren, 5 great -grandchildren and a host of cousins, nephews, nieces and other family and friends.
