Jonathan Lavelle Peterson transitioned from this life on July 11, 2025, at his home. He was born February 18, 1982, to John W. Peterson Jr. and the late Jacquelyn Newton Peterson. He was the middle child of three siblings. Jonathan confessed his faith in Christ at an early age and spent his formative years at St. John Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. C. Dennis Edwards. He deeply loved serving the Lord—singing in the choir and faithfully serving on the usher board. A product of the Little Rock Public School System, Jonathan attended Cloverdale Elementary and McClellan High School. During high school, he developed a passion for music and played several wind instruments, including the clarinet and flute, among others. His talent and creativity were evident from a young age. After graduating from high school, Jonathan pursued higher education with a focus on engineering. While in college, he became a proud member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated. Jonathan had a variety of interests and hobbies. He was an avid fan of Disney movies, enjoyed shopping, had a flair for graphic design, and loved R & B and Pop music. He is preceded in death by his mother Jacquelyn Newton Peterson. He leaves to cherish his memory John W. Peterson Jr. father, Sisters Jakeia Peterson, Kenya Wade (Michael) of Crowley, TX. A host of Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
