Maya Shawnte (Beard) Brown

Maya Brown, 44, of Topeka, Kansas passed away on September 17, 2023, at Ascension Vis Christi Hospital.

She was born on April 13, 1979, to Raymond Beard and Belinda Marie Lewis in Topeka, KS.

Maya worked as a CMA for Evergreen Nursing home.

On 18 March 2000, she married Otis Brown. Maya and Otis lived in, Little Rock, Arkansas.

She was a member of the Temple of Peace Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Pastor Tommy Johnson.

Maya is survived by her loving husband; Otis Brown Jr., children; Solomon and Selena Brown, brother; Jason Wright; Godmother, Wanetta Bean.

She was preceded in death by her father; Raymond Beard, Mother; Belinda Lewis, Brother; Ebben Wright, Grandmother; Wanda Bean, Beverly Lewis, Sharon Beard, Grandfather; James Rollen Lewis.

Funeral services will be 12:00 pm, on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at Open Arms Outreach Church, 2401 SE 11th St, Topeka, KS 66607, with visitation beginning an hour prior to service time. Final life celebration to be held Tuesday October 3, 2023, 11:00am at St. Paul Baptist Church 2603 Commerce St. Little Rock, AR

Interment will take place at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, North Little Rock, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers or financial blessings send to Faithful Funeral Home
