Roy Ervin Ester was born August 17, 1956, in Rondo, Arkansas to the late Leroy and Marlee (Gault) Ester.
In 1974, he graduated from Lee High School, Marianna, Arkansas. Throughout his life he held various
occupations; majority being in the field of construction and maintenance.
Roy confessed Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and united with the Paradise #2 Missionary
Baptist Church, Lexa, Arkansas, under the leadership of Rev. G.C. Vasser. He joined Hampshire
Missionary Baptist Church, Aubrey, Arkansas, in the summer of 2000, under the leadership of his
younger brother Rev. Lathen Ester and served faithfully as a deacon and head of the audio ministry until
his health failed.
On Sunday morning, November 30, 2025, Roy departed this life to be with his Heavenly Father. He was
preceded in this transition by his father, Leroy Ester, his mother, Marlee (Gault) Ester, two sisters:
Dorothy Tolbert and Bertha Cross-Dawson, his brother, Lathen Ester, and one nephew, Erick Parker.
Roy leaves to cherish his memory, one son, Steven (Tracy) Ester of Dover, AR; one daughter, Toya
Webster of Burleson, TX; three sisters: Mary Louise Rideout and Eva Williams of Little Rock, AR, and
Mary Henderson of North Little Rock, AR; 8 grandchildren: Lecresha, Quentin, Sade’, Steven Jr, Autumn,
Zion, Xavier, and Aviel; 7 great-grandchildren; 12 nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
