Sandra Perry Obituary

Our beloved sister, Sandra (Faye) Perry, was born on April 30, 1955, in Joliet, Illinois to the late John Thomas Perry and Dorothy Ann Perry. She departed this life on Friday, June 5, 2026, at the age of 71.

Faye lived for a short period in Pulaski, Tennessee, with her aunt and uncle, Albert and Inette Bramlett, who played an important role in her upbringing.
Sandra relocated back to Joliet, Illinois, where she reunited with her parents and siblings. Sandra graduated from Joliet West High School. Her desire was to further her education, so she enrolled at Philander Smith College in Little Rock, Arkansas. After leaving college, she began her career in Human Resources at Levi Strauss, then secured a long-term position at Landers Car Dealership until the company was sold.

Sandra accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church under the late Rev. Isaac Singleton's leadership. After relocating back to Little Rock, Arkansas, she joined Greater Paradise under the leadership of Pastor Jerry Black. While there, she served as president of the Young Matrons, taught Sunday School, and conducted Bible study. From there, along with her friends, Wanda, Teta, Tamara, and others, went on to start Victory Baptist Church under the Leadership of Pastor Terry Baker. She then joined Warren Hill Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor McTyer. who licensed her to be a minister in 1998 and ordained her in October 2007. Ministry became her purpose and passion, where she would go on and impact many lives. Sandra was a phenomenal teacher and preacher of the gospel. She was also an honorary member and teacher at Glory Intl’ Harvest church in Joliet, Illinois, under the leadership of Apostle Deddrick Perry Sr. She would often come home to serve in ministry, preach at the Apostle's anniversary, and serve on the board.

Sandra also had a passion for fashion, especially selling unique purses, and let's not forget the matching wallet. She loved her son, her family, and sharing the word of the Lord with whoever
would listen.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Dorothy Perry, and by Albert Inette Bramlett, as well as her sisters Claudette LaRae Perry and Terese Marbley.

Left to cherish her memories are her son, Jordan Madison Talbert, Little Rock, three brothers, Apostle Deddrick (Marilyn) Perry, Joliet, IL. Kelvin (Marla) Perry, Seattle, Washington; Pastor Eric Perry, Montgomery, Alabama; Four sisters, Brenda Washington, Carolyn Perry, Charletta Moore, all of Joliet, and Tricia Perry, Phoenix, Arizona.
