Spencer Scott Obituary

Spencer Dale Scott was born on March 6, 1962, to Willie Scott Jr. and Margaret Scott. He grew up in Little Rock’s East End community with his siblings, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends, where playmates went from friends to family forming lifetime bonds.

He attended and graduated from Hall High School and graduated with the Class of 1981.Upon graduation he briefly attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock but decided to work at Grady’s Pizza full time. After leaving Grady’s he switched career paths and began working for Mercedes Benz of Little Rock and later Everett Infiniti until his health failed him. He was known for his excellent workmanship, dependability, and meticulous attention to detail.

Spencer enjoyed cooking, sports, specifically basketball and football. He was never married or had children of his own so he shared his love for reading and his knowledge of music with many of his nieces and nephews whom he loved and cherished; he was the cool uncle.

He was preceded in death by his father Willie Lee Scott, Jr and his brothers Kelton D. Scott and Willie L. Scott, III.

Spencer leaves to cherish his memories: his mother Margaret L. Scott; four brothers Gilbert “Gil” Scott (Linda), Dennis Jones, Charles “CV” Jones (Cheryl), Timothy Scott (Pamela); four sisters, Regina Colclough (Rick), Vicki Hawkins-Davis, Cathy Tidwell, and Darlene Poole of Atlanta, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.

Though he is no longer with us, the music he shared still plays, the lessons he offered still guide, and the love he gave remains deeply woven into the hearts of those he cherished and cherished him.
