William Thomas Obituary

William Larry Thomas was born on February 20, 1955, in Keo, Arkansas to the late Wesley and Bernice Madison-Thomas.  He was the youngest of 9 children. He was preceded in death by all of his siblings; Letha, Orastean, Irene, Shirley, Bobbie, Benjamin, Fred, Ernest and daughter LaToya.

Larry received his education from Sylvan Hills High School and confessed a hope in Christ at the former Greater Paradise Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. Jerry Black.

December 24, 1979 - June 1991, he was married to Cynthia Franklin-Thomas and to this union two daughters were born. September 4, 2011 he married Charlotte Simmons and they remained married until the Lord decided his work on earth was done.

Larry, better known as “Uncle Larry”, loved to dance and was by far the best and smoothest dancer in the family.  He also loved to dress nice and the proof is displayed on the pictures. When he walked into a room where there were friends and/or family, he was often greeted with “Laarrrrrry T” and he would have the biggest grin on his face.

During the past ten years, Larry was the only living sibling.  His daughter, nieces and nephews rallied around him and consistently showered him with love.  We often visited his and Charlotte’s home for holidays and special occasions. He and aunt Charlotte loved to cook for us and we loved to eat.  One of our favorites was his spaghetti and salad, accompanied by her hot-water cornbread.

He leaves to cherish his memory: wife; Charlotte; daughter - Tanya Thomas; grandchildren - Alec S. Piggee and Ashley S. Piggee, all of Little Rock, AR.  He also leaves two bonus grandsons, Tyrone White and Maurice Jones along with a bonus granddaughter Summer White.

Larry was deeply loved by his nieces and nephews who continued to spoil him, picking up where his siblings left off.  He will truly be missed by his nieces, nephews and cousins.

His beautiful memories will forever be cherished by his family.
